I am sitting looking out my window, watching three grey squirrels running to and fro, chasing each other up and down the trees, they look like their twitter- pated to me. Spring is just around the corner, so that may be so and now my ears pick up the sound, the sound of the cawing crow. The sun is peaking it bright and shinny face just above the horizon, bringing light and warmth to the snow and melting it to uncover spring's beauty that lies below. This old body don't enjoy winter anymore, I can not do the winter things that I could before. I want the warm days of spring to come and warm up the hills so I can go walking and enjoy spring's sights and smells!

Observations!

I am watching,
two crows sitting on a limb,
their food supply,
must be small,
because they look very slim.
I see about a dozen chick-a-dees,
coming to the feeder,
flying to and fro.
Twelve pair of Mourning Doves,
lined on the wires in a row,
all waiting for the sunshine,
to melt away,
the winters snow.

Favorite Poems

This is a poem I read today that I like very much, it is called "God Answers "and it goes like this:

God Answers

When we see the birds

All building barns for store,

It will then be time for worry,

And not before!

We know not what each day may bring,

But this we know, our hearts will sing,

For He who gives the days or years,

Has power to still our doubts and fears.

And if the way be dark or fair,

We will not doubt, God answers prayer.

Yes, God, who heeds the sparrow's fall,

Will always answer when we call.
