Psalm 121

King James Version (KJV)
121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

God is Near

God is near, as I walk in the forest green, and when I sit by waters clear, and I sense His presence, when I view the white tailed deer. I enjoy His presence in the morning still, while walking through a beautiful garden, seeing the lily and the golden daffodil. I know He is with me, while I am walking in a deep valley, or climbing very steep hills. I feel His warmth in the sunshine, and His freshness in the rain, and His gracious hand of mercy, while I am living with my pain. I feel God’s presence, when I read His Holy Word, there He reveals His story, the greatest love story ever heard. When I awake in the morning, I have nothing to fear, I praise God and give thanks, that my Lord is near.

OLD TRACKS

I sit here thinking back, about the good old days and the old train tracks. Tracks that took us away and tracks that brought us back. O, how I loved to travel on those old tracks. Those times are gone; they have removed those old tracks. They have made trails of those old tracks and those rails won't be coming back.
Life is like those tracks, from our cradle to our grave, we travel a sin track, that is why God wants us to be saved and follow Jesus on a new track of salvation as we travel this sod.This brings to mind a song written by a friend titled " New Tracks" and the chorus goes like this:
Brand new tracks heading for glory
Brand new tracks because I heard a story
How a Savior bled and died
Rose again and coming back
Now I'm traveling on brand new tracks.

Psalms 20:

The Assurance of God’s Saving Work

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

20 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.
