TALKING WITH JESUS

DEAR SOUL, WHEN YOUR DAY IS FILLED WITH SORROW,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS;
IF OUR DAYS BE SUNNY OR FILLED WITH CLOUDS,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS;
IF OUR TRAILS IN LIFE BE SMOOTH OR ROCKY,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS.
WHEN OUR DAYS ARE LONELY OR FILLED WITH DISTRESS,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS;
DEAR FRIEND, NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS.
WHETHER OUR BODIES ARE HEALTHY OR FILLED WITH PAIN,
LET  US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS;
DEAR SOUL NO MATTER WHAT OUR CIRCUMSTANCES MAY BE,
LET US HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS,
HE WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH!

JUST THINKING!

I AWOKE,
AWOKE VERY EARLY,
IT WAS ABOUT 4 AM.
THE PAIN IN MY HEAD,
IT WAS A THROBBING PAIN,
CAUSED BY THE WAY I LAY,
OR MAYBE THE FALLING RAIN.
I AROSE,
I PUT HEAT ON MY NECK,
TOOK SOME PAIN PILLS;
I WAS A WRECK.
MY BED ENTICED ME,
TO LIE DOWN AGAIN,
I LAID THERE TO DAYLIGHT;
I MEDITATED ON GOD'S WORD,
AND SAYING A FEW PRAYERS.
I AROSE,
MADE SOME HOT CHOCOLATE,
AND WISHED SOME FRIENDS,
FRIENDS ON FACE BOOK,
HAPPY BIRTHDAYS YOU ALL;
I SHARED SOME SCRIPTURES,
UNTIL JUST ABOUT NINE,
THE SUN BROKE THROUGH,
THROUGH THE CLOUDS
AS GOD ANSWERED SOME PRAYERS,
AND I PRAISED HIM ,
FOR ALWAYS BEING AROUND,
SO FAITHFUL AND TRUE!

JUST THINKING!

March rolled in this year,
like a gentle lamb,
it is cold and sunny,
a little chick-a dee sits on a branch,
as the snow flurries,
from a floating cloud above,
begin to flutter down.
There are some birds,
flying across the way,
to see what the neighbors feeder,
as to offer them today;
I sit here watching,
and I am amazed with God's creation,
and how everything moves,
moves in unity held in His hands.
His amazing Grace was a salvation plan,
His love put in place,
when Satan's false words caused  the fall,
yes, temping words caused the fall of man.
Amazing Grace is an awesome plan,
to give a second chance,
to enter back into fellowship,
with God the Father,
by the shed blood of God's only SON,
as convicted by God's Holy Spirit.
Oh, let us come and worship,
God the Father, God the Spirit and God the Son!

TODAY'S BIBLE READING!

Psalm 19 King James Version (KJV)

19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

A FEBRUARY MORNING!

A FEBRUARY MORNING!
ON THIS SECOND DAY OF FEBRUARY 2020,
GROUND HOG DAY IS A CLOUDY DULL DAY,
A DAY WITH SNOW FLURRIES FLUTTERING DOWN,
NOT MAKING A SOUND,
WHEN THEY LAND ON THE SNOW COVERED GROUND.
THE SAYING GOES WHEN THE GROUND HOG,
SEES IT'S SHADOW WE USE HALF OUR MEAT,
 AND HALF THE HAY, MEANING A SHORTER  WINTER;
AS I SEE IT THERE WILL BE SIX WEEKS LEFT,
WHETHER THE GROUND HOG SEES IT'S SHADOW OR NOT.
LET'S BE HAPPY EVERYDAY AS WE WAIT FOR SPRING,
LOOKING FORWARD FOR EASTER, WHEN GOD'S CREATION,
COMES TO LIFE FROM IT'S RESTING PERIOD,
WHEN ALL NATURE SEEMS TO SING WITH THE SOUND,
THE SOUND OF SONG BIRDS SING EVERYWHERE,
WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY HEADS, IT'S SPRING, IT'S SPRING.
EASTER IS THE TIME OF CELEBRATION FOR THE SAINTS,
WE SING PRAISES OF HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION,
FOR HIS VICTORY OVER SIN, DEATH AND THE ETERNAL,
ETERNAL PLACE OF TORMENT FOR EVER AND EVER.
GOD HAS EVERYTHING IN HIS HANDS SO REJOICE,
YES, REJOICE THAT CHRIST CAME AND HE DIED AND AROSE,
AROSE IN TO HEAVEN SO ONE DAY WE COULD JOIN HIM THERE,
WHAT A GLORIOUS VICTORY WE HAVE TO CLAIM,
WHEN WE ASK HIM FOR SALVATION IN JESUS NAME!

A FAVORITE PSALMS!

Psalm 150 English Standard Version (ESV)

Let Everything Praise the Lord

150 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens![a]
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
    praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
    praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
    praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
    praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Jakeswords: Drips and Drops!: Today I sit, and stare out my window, watching the drops of rain, as it drips off the roof, while others drip, drip down the window pan...

MY DREAM!

Last night I dreamed a dream,
some might call it a nightmare,
and they would scream.
I was in a large lonely building,
people everywhere,
there was no Bible reading,
there was no prayer;
I asked who  do you worship?
They answered,
the world is our master.
I answered,
I do not agree,
surely don't agree there.
Jesus,is my Master,
I see His loving arms,
and I see Him everywhere!

MID SEPTEMBER

Today is cloudy,
with a few sightings of sun,
there is a chill in the air,
the season of Fall has begun.
Thanksgiving is,
 just around the corner,
my favorite season is here again,
soon the leaves will change,
some red,orange, yellow and gold,
God has colored them,
so much beauty for us to behold.
When the world began,
everything was of perfect color,
then Satan beguiled man,
the blackness of sin entered in,
black with all it's sin;
God had a plan,
When the appointed time came,
He would send His only SON
to redeem those lost in sin,
placing them on a narrow road,
leading to a heavenly city,
and with it's streets of pure gold.

Just Reflecting!

I awakened this morning at Seven AM
After a good night of rest;
I paused a moment to reflect,
the beauty of creation,
and the awesome power of the great I AM!
I got outside for a drive,
seeing everything so green,
everything so much alive,
and knowing that with God the Father,
God the SON and God the Holy Spirit;
I am safe and secure from all alarms!

Jakeswords: Rocking in His Arms!

Jakeswords: Rocking in His Arms!: ROCKING IN HIS ARMS! I am rocking, rocking in the arms of Jesus, no better place to be, rocking in the arms of Jesus, ...

Favorite Bible Chapters!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite chapters in the King James Version; I trust you enjoy it as I do!

Philippians 4

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

TRUTH

Quote: God offers to every mind its choice between truth and repose. Take which you please — you can never have both. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bible teaching: John 4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

Truth Quote:The trouble about man is twofold. He cannot learn truths which are too complicated; he forgets truths which are too simple. ~Rebecca West

Truth Quote:Truth is light of foot like a fawn, not heavy like lead. It is young with the spirit of youth, but we bend it with weight in its still young years. ~Muriel Strode (1875–1964), "A Soul's Faring: VII," A Soul's Faring, 1921

Seek truth and you will find a path. ~Frank Slaughter

           Psalm 25:5
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
